Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is a professor at the University of California Davis. She has been widely recognized for pioneering the study of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in legal settings. Professor Goodman published widely and has won multiple grants, and been honored with many International and national awards. She has collaborated with a variety of government agencies and institutions around the globe on policy and research pertaining to the child victimization of the justice system. She works as consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional associations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. She is also a founding part of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy and Child Development and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
